Questions

Use the questions below to check whether this article applies:

  • Has the software started showing a demo-mode or licence not available message after previously working?

  • Does the error message mention that a feature is not available, or that the model exceeds demo-mode limitations? See Fig.1

  • Is the same feature available in the Entitlement Portal under Entitlement > Actions>Details for the relevant entitlement? See Fig.2 & 3

  • Is the feature missing in the desktop app DHI License Management 2026>DHI License Manager?  See Fig.4

  • Is the feature not shown as being used, or is the Features Used tab empty in the Entitlement Portal? See Fig.5

Fig. 1 above – Example error message. The message may vary depending on the affected feature.

Fig. 2 above – In the Entitlement Portal, go to Entitlements. For the relevant Entitlement ID, select Actions on the right-hand side, then select Details.

Fig. 3 above – The Details page shows the Features linked to the selected entitlement. The missing feature should be included in the Feature list.

Fig. 4 above – In the DHI License Management 2026 desktop app, check whether the feature is listed in the Feature table.
You can sort the table alphabetically to help locate the feature. Note: This list may include features from multiple entitlements,
so seat counts may differ from the Entitlement Portal.

Fig. 5 above – Check whether the Features Used tab is empty in the Entitlement Portal.

If the Features Used tab is empty, this means no user is currently using or locking the feature.

If the Features Used tab shows active users, the issue may instead be related to all available licence seats being in use.

If the answer is Yes to most of these questions, the user’s entitlement access may need to be refreshed. Please follow the workaround below.

Cause

This issue may occur when multiple entitlement assignment changes are submitted in quick succession. Because entitlement updates can take time to process, some features may not be assigned correctly, causing them to appear missing in the DHI License Management 2026 desktop application.

Revenera is working on improving this behaviour, so this issue should happen less frequently in the near future.

Workaround

The portal administrator should open the Entitlement Portal and refresh the affected user’s entitlement assignment:

Note: If multiple user entitlement changes are required, perform them one at a time and wait for the confirmation message after each update before making the next change. This helps ensure all entitlement rules are processed correctly.

  1. Navigate to Users > Edit.

  2. Untick the relevant entitlement and select Edit. See Fig.6

  3. Wait until the update confirmation message appears in the portal. This may take from a few seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on the number of users and entitlements. See Fig.7

  4. Once confirmed, repeat the same process, but this time tick the entitlement again. See Fig.6

  5. Wait for the second confirmation message. See Fig.7

Ask the user to reopen the desktop DHI License Management 2026 app and check whether the missing feature is now visible.
