Hi All,
I am currently involved in a study assessing the effect of vessel wake on berthed vessels within a confined waterway.

I am looking at a way to represent the moving vessel along an internal wave boundary with BW. I would therefore be looking to have a spatially and temporally varying boundary to represent the track of the vessel. I have an idea of how this might be achieved but was wondering if anybody may have some experience they are willing to share with the community?

Regards,
Josh Gibson

Hello Josh,

While I have no experience doing that myself, I know DHI has carried out that sort of studies. Here's a flyer about one: http://www.dhigroup.com/-/media/shared%20content/global/references/nala/case%20stories/modelling%20ship%20waves%20in%20unique%20nature%20reserves.pdf

I hope that helps.

Best regards,
Ricardo Machado
