tidal potential in MIKE21

Dear MIKE21 group members
My master thesis subject is “ Numerical modeling and analysis of tidal characteristics of The Persian Gulf” and  I am trying to achieve co-tidal charts for harmonic constituents with simulation by MIKE 21 Flow model FM and finally with analysis of changes tidal constituents,I want to  obtain physical characteristics of tide in The Persian Gulf.
In flow model FM, I have questions:
Should  I activate tidal potential (albeit In the open boundary with TPXO I entered tide for boundary..)? if yes  for which point in domain I shoud enter Specified data in tidal potential section?
Can someone explain in simple way about  influence of tidal potential in model?

Hi, just wondering have you figure out how to include tidal effect in MIKE 21? Also, when you say you activate tidal potential, does it mean use tide station data for boundary conditions?
