Hello,

I'm having difficulties in generating mesh in mike zero mesh generator. The area has been set according to the guidance of UK MIKE 21 Guide - Marine.pdf and Mesh_Generator_step_by_step.pdf.
The area is set (the boundaries are well defined).

Question is, why does the triangulation doesn't start processing when i click the triangulate button? it doesn't even shows suggestion or even error messages..... contradictive with the manuals and the previous experiences when i succeeded to generate mesh and modelling results for another locations.

Would be very grateful for solutions.
Thank you

Dear Ridwan,

Do you get an error message of some sort when you try to create the mesh?
There are some reasons why you might experience this problem. It could be because:
-You have some very small cells in the mesh (due to either small cell size or overlapping arcs for example)
-Your model area is very big, and the number of cells are great (and your RAM might not cope with it)
-The polygons have been excluded from the mesh (check that they are not)

You say the "triangulate button". In order to create the mesh, you should go to Mesh --> Generate Mesh.

Hope you'll find a tip you can use from the above.

Best regards,
Jonas

Thank you for responding my difficulties,

I finally succeed generating the appropriate mesh for my modelling, after countless revision (starting over from scrap repeatedly).
I also succeed simulating the FMHD module (shore hydrodinamic only, i.e: current), but I'm having trouble again in simulating the SW module, it's done to resulting designated point data (.dfs0) and area (.dfsu). Problem is, why does the maximum wave heights resulted are so very low while the significant waves that had been assigned from basic calculation are reasonably acceptable. Would you help me to overcome this?

Thank you..
