Hello,
I have downloaded some GEBCO data. It is in 1/120th deg intervals of Lat and Long covering an area about 30 deg long and 40 deg lat (a big grid that I will crop or merge later). I can convert the ascii grid format to a dfs2 format.
What is the correct procedure for using GEBCO data in MIKE21HD to model such a large area?
What co-ordinate system? I need one that uses degrees not metres so this excludes UTM and it seems all of the ones I can see listed other than Lat Long.
What projection? I am happy to use any projection that is reasonable and guess Mercator or Tran Merc will be suitable as it is mid latitudes.
What datum? WGS84
Do I need to create a new projection? How can I combine lat long cords with a projection?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
