Hi there,

I inherited a M21 model that was prepared in a previous version of MIKE. It came with a number of .dfs2 files (mannings, surface elevations etc). On attempting to link them to the .m21 file, it indicates that there are no valid items.

I have checked the Item Type in the grid editor and they correspond to the type required (e.g. Manning's M for resistance and water level for initial surface elevation). Could you advise what could be causing the problem and how to address it?

Version used: 2017

Hi Joseph

I just see this post, I think you may find good solution already.
Anyway, I add my recommended here for someone who may have same problem.
This come from difference model version, later the model use more specific item type for their input data.
Actually the way to solve the problem is to open dfs2 file that M21 complain about it item then change Item Type (meny edit/item..) to what M21 model required.

Regards,
Somchai.
