Hi.
Is it possible to read partial MIKE11 results (in MIkeview) if MIKEFLOOD calculation terminates at one point because of some instability? This was possible in previous versions, but in 2014 version no results are shown in Mikeview.  This only happens if calculation terminates in MIKEFLOOD, if calculation terminates in MIKE11, partial results can be seen in Mikeview.

Best regards.

Dear Tija,

please find the following parameter in the mike11.ini - File:

;HD-Variable no. 64
;  Output files may be flushed i.e. file header information updated.
;  A value of 1 indicates that the result file will be flushed every
;  time results are written to the file.
;  Default value for variable = 0 (no flushing)
;
;  File_Flush_Freq = 0
;

You can set this parameter to 1 and MIKE11 will flush all results directly to the file. You should then be able to open the result file, even if the MIKE11 crashes.
Please regard that, due to the flushing, the simulation will slow down.
Therefore, we recommend to use this parameter until your model is stable, and then, to accelerate the simulation, set this parameter back to 0

Dear all,

Alternatively the flushing frequency can be set to a bigger value than 1, in order not to slow down the simulation :)

Remember that, when editing the mike11.ini file, the section which needs to be edited is not the first one, which simply provides a description of the feature, but the second part of the file. Hence, for the flushing option, the section to be edited is:
;HD-Variable no. 64
  File_Flush_Freq = 0

Best regards,
Mathieu

It works. Thank you.
