Hi Everybody,
We are simulating MIKE 11 HD and ST model for a river. The HD model works well though when the sediment model includes, it gives a warning message as floating point overflow.

In the MIKE 11 ST model, We used the thickness of the active layer as 0.1 m and Non scouring bed level as -1.5
Minimum depth of active layer 0.001 m and Initial depth of passive layer as 0.01 m
Sediment grain diameter as 0.00055 m and standard deviation as 0.000254

We checked several times by changing the above parameters to different values as well. However, the error message we got, remaind same.

The sediment model used was Ashida and Michue model.

We are very much thankful if any of you can tell us which kind of parameter could be lead to the floating point overflow error.

cniroshinie,

A floating point error is extremely difficult to find out exactly why it occurs - and which parameters to adjust.
You should therefore zip all you input model files and contact MIKE Support at mikebydhi@dhigroup.com for detailed analysis of your current problem.

Regards
Torben
