Set maximum CPU/core usage for FEFLOW model simulation

Is there a way to set a maximum number of cores for FEFLOW to use during a model simulation? I checked in the problem settings and it did not seem like there was anything there.

I have worked with other modelling software where this is a feature and it is useful in my workplace where we often share machines to run models.

Yes, there is: As this setting is typically model-independent, it is found in the Tools menu rather than the Problem Settings. Go to Tools - Global Settings - Parallel Computing for setting the number of CPUs used.

As a complement of information, could you give us some details about the command line flag 'threads'?
-threads <num>|single : Number of worker threads

Does it limit the number of CPUs used for matrix assembly as well as matrix solving?
(If so, that would be a nice exec. flag to use within FePEST to optimize parallel model runs without overloading CPUs with competing threads...)

The command line option (only available for FEFLOW command line mode) is indeed a hard limit on ALL parallelizations.
